Corpus Inscriptionum et Monumentorum Religionis Mithriacae (CIMRM)The Corpus Inscriptionum et Monumentorum Religionis Mithriacae(CIMRM) is a collection of inscriptions and monuments which refer to Mithras or were erected in Mithraeums or otherwise related to the study of the cult. It was edited in two volumes by Martin Vermaseren and published at the Hague by Martinus Nijhoff, 1956, 1960 in 2 vols. It remains the standard handbook of Mithraic reliefs.1 It replaces Cumont's Textes et Monuments for monuments and inscriptions, but not for literary texts. Cumont himself gave Vermaseren encouragement to compile it.2 A list of missing items is supplied in Nilsson's review.3 See also CIMRM Supplement. Vol. 1 is now online at Archive.org here.
