Roman Mithras Marble Figurine.

Circa 1st-2nd century AD. A marble figurine depicting the god Mithras sacrificing a bull, shown with his characteristic Phrygian cap, flowing hair, short cloak and tunic, kneeling on the bull's back and wielding a dagger in his right hand. Marble, 850 grams, 146 mm.
Condition: Very fine condition, some loss to the bull's head.
Provenance: From an old English collection.
