Good news. I have just submitted to Lightning Source the PDF’s for the hardback version of Eusebius of Caesarea: Gospel Problems and Solutions. It’s now in the works. I’ve ordered a proof copy — necessary mainly for the cover. I’ll wait until I’ve seen that before I submit the paperback. Intended real publication date for both is now 1st May 2011, but of course they may become available sooner.
In the meantime, have a look at the cover image:
Very nice cover.
Looking forward eagerly to this book’s release!
Excellent news! Do you have any idea yet what the price-tag on this is going to be? Got to start counting my pennies. 😀
Price tag is probably 50 GBP (=$75) for hardback and 30 GBP ($45) for paperback. It’s a lot, I know, but it is 432 pages.
Considering what it’s going to contain, that’s totally reasonable! Besides, I’ve had to shell out over $300 for a book before so that’s nothing. They don’t make independent scholarship very easy, do they?
Not very easy at all.
Mind you, I went to Cambridge yesterday and had to spend $30-40 getting photocopies from books. That’s how it all used to happen. These days of PDF’s floating around are a marvellous blessing.
I look at that photo and I want to read the book because of the images of g&t on sun-kissed terraces that it puts into my mind. But it might be worth forking out another few tens of pounds for someone to do the graphics.
Me too. But by the graphics, do you mean the text?
Yes!
I shall have to consider this. Thank you.
