I’m flattered, Robert, to have been included in your in-depth observations of lost Greek and Roman poetry.
What’s lost, in this case, is my understanding of the subject.
I took French and Latin for two years, but still must use Cassell’s. My knowledge of Greek poetry and plays is limited to French and English translations.
I’m familiar with Hugh Dickinson’s “Myth on the Modern Stage. I’m a Joseph Campbell fan. I am definitely NOT in your league.
I appreciated your reference to the “Best Santa Ever”– (with reference to that saint punching someone) and depicting a threatening St. Nicholas with the words,
“He sees you when you’re sleeping.”
