Bar cEbroyo’s disciple and biographer, Dioscorus Gabriel b. John of Bartelli (bishop of Gâzartâ d-Qardû) names Armenian, along with Syriac, Arabic and Persian, among the languages spoken by Bar cEbroyo (J.Y.
